In collaboration with the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), Financial Markets Dealers Association introduced the Treasurers Dealership Certificate Examination Scheme (TDC). The Scheme was borne out of the need to fill perceived knowledge gap in the industry as well as meet both the short and long term needs of vibrant Treasury profession in Nigeria.

With the expansion of membership of the Financial Markets Dealers Association, the TDC has become a prerequisite for admission of individual members into the Association.

A comprehensive syllabus for the Examination has been designed to ensure that the examination meets international standards. Developments in the banking industry in Nigeria today call for a professional touch in all aspects of banking business and this programme is one of such schemes designed to achieve that objective.

The first examination of the Scheme was conducted in October 1998. The Scheme’s examinations are conducted in April and October every year.
